On August 24, JSBM organized a workshop to introduce the HI (Hub Inspiration)
The Inspiration Hub is a space for learning and growth. The objective of the Inspiration Hubs is to enable the young members to discover themselves for a good orientation in life so that they can impact on those around them.
JSBM works with 6 public secondary schools (3 schools per province): Bujumbura Mairie and Bujumbura:
– 24 Inspirations Hubs (HI) created (4 Inspiration Hubs per school)
– 600 pupils reached (25 members per Inspiration Hub)
– School actors: 6 school directors, 18 members of the parents’ committee, 12 other actors (prefects, teachers, school administration, club representatives, etc.).
Empowering Youth Together project is being executed in partnership with KIYO since 2022 and will last for 5 year.
Through the different approaches and activities organised within HI, creativity, innovation, sharing and empowerment of young people are encouraged. Young people have their self-confidence strengthened; they are informed about their rights and can denounce violations; they are motivated and able to identify their aspirations and the appropriate training; they are made aware of issues affecting Burundian youth and have the tools to transfer this knowledge to other young people; they are actors of change in the community.
